A feel of relaxed isolation is the atmosphere at the Hideaway; yet, you are only two minutes from the National Seashore and one minute from Route 6 that can take you from antiques, beaches and crab cakes to xeriscape gardens, Yarmouth or zoology at the Brewster Natural History Museum.

The Hideaway is comprised of two houses. The Main House sleeps 6.

• The master bedroom, with king bed, is located in its own wing with a large and private, attached bathroom.
• Two other bedrooms (one with queen sized bed, one with two twin beds) and full bath are in another wing.
• A window-filled living room allows for commanding views of sunrise and moonrise, of wildlife and mists rolling in.
• The dining room comfortably seats 8 and the eat-in kitchen is fully and amply equipped with quality cookware, cooking accoutrements, glassware and tableware.
• The large laundry room, with its full-size washer and dryer and half bath, allows for storage of guests equipment.

The Honeymoon Cottage sleeps 2.

• Separated from the main house for privacy and serenity by contiguous decking.
• King bed, full bath, comfortable living and dining area provide ample space for relaxed vacation living.
• An outside enclosed shower with hot and cold water is next to the Cottage.

As this is a home of the owner, many artistic touches and details abound that would not be found in "simply a rental property."

The Main House and Cottage are rented out as one unit, ensuring guests privacy and enjoyment. However, if only 6 wish to rent at a lower adjusted fee, the Main House is available on its own.

The Honeymoon Cottage for two is available for autumn vacations through Wellfleet’s Oysterfest, the weekend after Columbus Day.

Lieutenant Island is located in Cape Cod Bay, in South Wellfleet. It is connected to the mainland by a road that crosses the tidal marsh and the Audubon Wildlife Refuge. When the incoming tide rises above 10’, the road becomes flooded by the bay. The island is isolated until the tide turns and goes out. This is truly Mother Nature at her dynamic best.
